Following the latest government and industry guidance, many changes have been made to provide as safe an environment as possible.
You will notice some changes, which are necessary to comply with the new COVID-19 Secure Guidelines.
These are designed to keep you and I safe whilst the coronavirus is active. They will not however change the nature of your treatment or reduce the emotional and physical health benefits it provides.
I am fully implementing a Covid-19 Secure Workplace Policy to minimise the
risk of contracting or transmitting the virus. This means that I will:
Remove all non-essential items from my treatment room
Use washable fabric coverings for essential furniture and replace them after each treatment
Wash all towels and linen at 60 degrees
Wear dedicated clothes for each treatment
Wash my hands before and after treatments
Deep clean my treatment room before, between and after clients
Wear a face covering at all times
Please be assured that I will do everything possible to keep you safe during your visit but also to make your time with me relaxing, enjoyable and beneficial to your mental and physical wellbeing.
My aim is to continue to provide a wonderful reflexology or reiki experience whilst being Covid-19 Secure. You will have the same quiet location and soft music. The treatments themselves will be very much hands-on whilst adhering to strict hygiene guidelines.
Virtual Consultation
If you are a new client, we may need to schedule a virtual consultation prior to your appointment. This is so we can maximise the time allowed within the treatment room for your treatment, as we are advised to reduce both our contact time and talking time together. This will be confidential and will enable us to talk through in detail any concerns that you might have.
If you are a key worker I ask that you shower and change your clothes prior to your appointment - please do not come straight from work.
I kindly ask that you visit alone. If you do need someone to accompany you into the treatment room please ensure that they have completed a Screening Form aswell.
Before your treatment
I ask that you arrive wearing a face covering. I will provide you with either a re-useable lightweight fabric mask or a surgical paper mask if necessary.
I will take your temperature to ensure that you do not have a fever. If your temperature is raised, we will need to rearrange your appointment for another time​. If your temperature is within normal limits, you will be asked to sanitise your hands.
I will ask you to confirm that you are free of the symptoms of Covid-19 and confirm that you have not been in contact with anyone else with coronavirus or someone who has had a recent positive test. Finally that you are not returning from another country and have been asked by the government to self isolate.
Once in the treatment room please remove your shoes and socks and place them and all personal belongings in a box provided for this purpose. Please only bring essential items with you.
My NHS QR code is available for you to use with the NHS App for track and trace purposes.
As I will be unable to maintain the recommended social distancing to carry out some treatments, I will be wearing the full recommended PPE.
During and after your treatment
We are advised to keep talking to a minimum within the treatment room.
I will ask you to keep your mask on until you leave the room and please take it away with you.
You may of course still use the toilet, if necessary. This area will be deep cleaned after each use for your protection.

As normal, I will give you plenty of time after the treatment has finished for you to hydrate, ask any questions and gather your thoughts and belongings before you leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and rebalanced. You may bring your own water bottle with you.

Please make payment by bank transfer. If you would rather pay by cash, please bring the exact amount on the day in an envelope.

In the days following your treatment, if you begin to feel unwell and suspect that you may have coronavirus, please stay at home, self-isolate and get a Covid-19 test.
If you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus, you must let me know as soon as possible and you must not attend your appointment. You should follow the current government guidelines around self-isolation.  Your appointment will be rescheduled to a later date and you will not be charged any cancellation fee.
As a reminder, the main symptoms of Covid-19 are:
a high temperature
a new, continuous cough
a change to your sense of smell or taste
